Education

  • As an Ayurvedic Health Counselor I educate clients on how to live in harmony with their environment according to the principles of Ayurveda. The goal is to help others in creating an optimal environment within their body for healing to take place. Through the use of lifestyle and sensory therapies wellness and longevity can be achieved.

    Lifestyle and Sensory therapies include:

Hear: Mantra, Affirmations, guided meditation and iRest Yoga Nidra

    Touch: Massage and Bodywork

See: Color and Form- Sacred Space Design

Taste: Diet, Food Combining and Healthy Eating Guidelines

    Smell: Aromatherapy

  • Nature is our connection to all that is. Aromatic botanicals, more commonly known as essential oils, have been used for healing, hygiene, spiritual and religious practices for centuries. Every culture contains some sort of plant material whether it be herbs, aromatics or incense. We are supported and nourished by a naturally rich apothecary.

Essential oils contain potent yet subtle chemical properties that have the power to reduce tension in the body, calm the nervous system, boost immunity and balance and increase your energetic field.

I offer small-batch, handcrafted, therapeutic aromatic blends and products, custom blends and fragrant ceremonies.

  • iRest Yoga Nidra: iRest is a simple and direct form of deep meditation that is rooted in ancient yogic and nondualism traditions. It is a mindful based approach to meditation that develops resiliency, task focusing, welcoming of sensations, emotions and thoughts and an aid to profound self-awareness and healing. Persons of any age, race, sex, religious background, physical, mental or emotional handicaps or traumas can enjoy and learn with this meditation practice.

Co-Meditation/Dyads: The facilitator/teacher opens the doors to deep inquiry through inviting and welcoming the others experience as it unfolds. The sacred space held allows one to meet and observe the voice of the body, hidden emotions or underlying limiting beliefs from a safe and kind place of awareness.

Bodysensing: When rotating attention through the body, the mind becomes gathered, focused and calm leading to an effortless state of deep relaxation. If you find meditation challenging this guided practice through the body is a passive-active experience that many find quiet enjoyable.

  • Movement: Interweaving self-inquiry with mapping the body through tapping, brushing, swinging, rolling, rocking, restorative yoga and gentle movement. This harmonious blend nurtures a safe space to be with the body.

Pranayama/Breathwork: Offering a variety of breath exercises suited to your unique needs and goals. Yogic and Conscious breathing can cleanse the body and still the mind.

Restorative Yoga: Restorative yoga is a healing and restorative practice that requires no muscle exertion in order to realign the spine and promote health in body and mind. Restorative practices use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students in passive poses so that the body can experience the benefits of a pose.

  • After my experience of Panchakarma in India my body therapies become more subtle and full aromatic. My body therapies combines medical grade essential oils, carrier oils and healing modalities that detox and rejuvenate the body, mind and heart. Ayurvedic, Japanese and Chinese therapies are delivered with an intuitive gentle touch. Each session is uniquely formulated to reduce stress and induce a deep sense of relaxation. The intention is balancing the energy known as prana, qi or chi and in doing so we reset and restore the nervous system and the entire body to it's own natural healing process. An understanding of the energetic anatomy of meridians, tsubos, nadis and marmanis enables me to tune in and align both physically and energetically. The nurturing qualities of individual medicine and mixed modalities combined with the focused intention of health and wellbeing create a harmonious session.
